Ebony’s management leading her astray – Kojo Antwi

Highlife, Kojo Antwi has accused Dancehall Diva, Ebony’s managers of leading her in the wrong direction as regards to her branding.

The ‘sponsor’ crooner has come under heavy flak from a section of the public for her outfit to shows in which she shows a lot of skin, sometimes almost showing her private part.

She’s undoubtedly the female musician in Ghana in recent years who has generated so much talk and instigated so much controversy for both her artistry and branding.

Private legal practitioner, Gary Nimako while commenting on Ebony’s choice of clothing in public argued it can lead to her arrest by the Ghana Police Service, if the police are confident she has a case to answer.

Speaking to Gatuso on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa FM, the Highlife legend, Kojo Antwi, noted that the direction in which Ebony is going if not check will not ensure her relevance and longevity in the music industry.

"I’m a leader in the Music industry and so I always try to choose my words carefully to encourage the young ones because I want them to come and do bigger things than what our generation has done.

I’ve read and heard about Ebony and people have ways of marketing themselves, I think her think thank, I mean her managers are trying to give her a direction which may not help her in the long run.

Every artiste what you know to do best must sell you as a person. In the west, sex sells, that is why almost everything sold including deodorant people will like to shape it like something, because it will sell.

If you’re an artist and you want longevity in the industry, and you’re working on a song, the kind of things you talk about, you let people know what you stand for and must add value to peoples lives.

I’m known for composing love songs which people listen to enrich their love life and solving marital problems".

Kojo has however indicated that he pr
efers to advise Ebony indoors rather than publicly criticize the musician whenever he has an opportunity.

Shatta Wale’s comment on my GH One TV walk-off was childish – Tic Tac Hiplife artiste, Tic Tac has described as ‘childish and sarcastic’ Shatta Wale’s commendation of his decision to walk out of live TV interview on GH One TV. Tic Tac walked out of the interview because visuals of Shatta Wale’s video were playing in the background at a time he was answering questions about the feud between them. “Are you playing Shatta Wale’s video? Is it because we are talking about him? I did not come here to promote Shatta Wale,” he said and left the studio despite attempts by the host to offer an explanation and resolve the issue. In what has been described by many as ‘shocking’, Shatta Wale in a Facebook post jumped to the defense of Tic Tac as he posited that the latter’s posture affirms the ideals he [Shatta Wale] has been preaching for some time now. “I think Tictac really made the best move ever. This is what i have been talking about. We should respect an artiste when he is your studios or...
