EIB Network scoops 15 awards at 2017 RTP Awards

Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network scooped fifteen (15) prestigious awards at the 7th edition of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) awards which came off on Saturday at the Accra International Conference Centre.

GHOne TV’s News Editor/Presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah took home the biggest award of the night. She won the ‘Personality of the Year’ at the awards programme which recognizes outstanding media personalities whose work shows exemplary leadership towards building a great a future for Ghana’s media industry.

EIB Network was adjudged the Best Media Group of the Year. Starr FM’s personality show, Starr Chat hosted by Bola Ray won the Radio Program of The Year as Kwaku Obeng Agyei grabbed the Radio Newscaster of the Year (English Language).

Starr FM’s Giovani Caleb and Anita Erskine won the Radio Late Afternoon Show Host of the Year and Radio Female Presenter of the Year respectively.

Gospel Show presenter on Live FM, Jeshrun Okyere also grabbed Radio Gospel Show Host of the Year as Eugene Akoto Bamfo of Agoo FM won the Best Radio Personality Eastern Region and the official DJ to every major event in Kumasi and beyond Mr. Kaxtro of Ultimate FM took home the Radio DJ of the Year.

EIB Network’s flagship TV station – GHOne TV – snatched seven awards: TV Station of the Year – GHOne TV, TV Female Newscaster of the Year – Nana Aba Anamoah (GHOne TV), TV Female Personality of the Year- Nana Aba Anamoah (GHOne TV), Radio and Television Personality of the Year – Nana Aba Anamoah (GHOne TV), TV Current Affairs Show Host of the Year – Kwaku Sakyi-Addo (GHOne TV), TV Morning Show Host of the Year – Kafui Dey (GHOne TV) and TV Entertainment Show of the Year – Rythmz Live (GHOne TV).

The show was hosted by Ato Abassah and saw performances from Patience Nyarko, Eboo, Kurl Song and Ebony.

The scheme which is designed to celebrate radio and television personalities who have excelled in the field was sponsored by Adonko Bitters.

EIB Network operates Starr FM, Live FM, Kasapa FM, GHOne TV, Agoo TV (All in Accra), Ultimate FM and Abusua FM (Kumasi), Empire FM (Takoradi), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw) and the Daily Heritage newspaper
