My Ex husband was a liar-Afia Schwarzenegger

My Ex husband was a liar-Afia Schwarzenegger

TV host and Ghana’s ‘queen’ of comedy, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, seems to have dropped new information regarding her marriage.

The TV host, who has been on a mission to raise awareness about domestic abuse, violence against women and toxic relationships, has said that abusers always know their actions are wrong, but still go ahead with them anyway.

Narrating a story that seems to be from her own experience, Afia via her Instagram account, wrote: “I saw my ex lying/trying to defend himself anytime he abuses me n i tell someone....so i asked him a very simple question,"If you are so ashamed of the things u do to me,why do u do it"...And he had no answer.. The moral behind this story is your abuser knows very well that what he is doing is wrong hence lie or try to cover up his actions... Leave to Live”

Afia Schwarzenegger and her estranged husband, Lawrence Abrokwah, are currently sorting out their divorce process, following a nasty split over an alleged cheating scandal and a domestic violence report.

Afia, after a video leaked online which showed her nudity while she was in her bedroom at the time, filed charges of assault, threat of harm and distribution of obscene material against Abrokwah.

He was arrested by the police and later released on bail after three sureties.

Since the scandal that led to the end of her marriage, Afia has used her platform to advocate for her #LeavetoLive campaign, which is to advise her followers and women everywhere to notice the abusive traits of their partners as well as other signs of abuse, and leave early to live a free life.

In November, she launched the Leave to Live Foundation, an organization which is dedicated to helping women break free from their abusive relationships.

She said the campaign which is themed ‘Operation Remove Your Panties’, is advising young ladies to refrain from wearing panties since they play a major role in the cause of infections – like Candida – in the female genital organ. “The whole initiative is to help ladies free themselves from infections which most of them suffer as a result of wearing panties. I'm not in a rush to make a new family - Yvonne Okoro   If you ever intend visiting beautiful and smart Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro at home after 10pm, I’m sorry, that is almost impossible. Yes, the actress lives with her parents in their home and that means you are not really welcome unless the visit is that necessary or you are family related. Well, how did we know this? I live in a very traditional conservative family where there’s that… you can’t bring a man home unless the man, you know…this is a serious relationship”, she said. Although Yvonne Okoro would w...

Shatta Wale’s comment on my GH One TV walk-off was childish – Tic Tac Hiplife artiste, Tic Tac has described as ‘childish and sarcastic’ Shatta Wale’s commendation of his decision to walk out of live TV interview on GH One TV. Tic Tac walked out of the interview because visuals of Shatta Wale’s video were playing in the background at a time he was answering questions about the feud between them. “Are you playing Shatta Wale’s video? Is it because we are talking about him? I did not come here to promote Shatta Wale,” he said and left the studio despite attempts by the host to offer an explanation and resolve the issue. In what has been described by many as ‘shocking’, Shatta Wale in a Facebook post jumped to the defense of Tic Tac as he posited that the latter’s posture affirms the ideals he [Shatta Wale] has been preaching for some time now. “I think Tictac really made the best move ever. This is what i have been talking about. We should respect an artiste when he is your studios or...
