RTP organizers  lack ideas and need to sit up– RTP nominee from Western Region attacks

A Radio Presenter with Spice FM in Takoradi, Yoofi Eyeson who was a 2017 Radio and Television Personality (RTP) awards’ nominee has described the awards as a “big joke.”
Speaking to www.233times.com, Yoofi said “the organizers of the RTP awards, Big Event should sit up because they are joking. Before the awards, a man told me Yoofi why are you so much into these awards and I told him I want to win this but all he could say was that an awards which allows one person to vote more than one is never credible and I think what he said is true from what I saw with my own eyes at the awards night.”
“The reason why I’m saying that they are jokers is that it really looks like they lack ideas and need to sit up. If indeed this is an award to reward hard work, I’m sure some of the winners wouldn’t have won but since they are awarding votes and whom you know, people walk home with awards which they don’t deserve. Like Adonko bitters being a title sponsor of the show so Angel FM walk home with awards they haven’t worked for like Afia winning Best Entertainment Female Host of the year instead of Berla Mundi” Yoofi bemoaned.
According to Yoofi Eyeson who lost the Best Radio Personality – Western Region category, “Ekowba Gyasi winning the best morning show host of the year instead of Bernard Avle and Captain Smart makes the awards questionable. Now most watched entertainment show host George Quaye losing to Eddy Blay should tell you the awards was dashed out to people. Angel TV winning digital TV station of the year when there is Adom TV should also tell you something.”
Yoofi Eyeson wondered why media stalwarts like Kwame Sefa Kai, Kojo Yankson, Bernard Avle, Abeiku Santana, KOD amongst others were not present at the awards ceremony and quickly added that it is because they don’t see the awards as credible that is why they won’t waste their time to attend the event.
He also congratulated his competitor Obuoba Osei Kwaku Cassidy for winning this year’s Western Region’s radio personality of the year.
